The weather was pleasantly dry and warm, despite a forecast of showers, and an enjoyable time was had by all at the Glendale Church Community Funday held last Saturday (July 9th) at Blossom Field.
Residents of Wash Common were invited, free of charge, to the event which included food and activities for the whole family. Children participated in face painting, Sumo wrestling, skittles, parachute games, football and most popularly, jumping around enegetically on a bouncy castle on which the adults also could be seen at one stage! The day was completed with a Hog Roast, delicious home-made salads and desserts accompanied by a live band who provided a varied musical programme.
Ian Campbell, one of the elders at Glendale Church said, "We were so pleased with the atmosphere of enjoyment and community. We believe that everyone had a great time."
